Find Sustainable Eastside happenings here at EcoMaven’s newest resource page.
Seattle’s reputation as the greenest city on the West Coast has had an impact on surrounding areas including “the Eastside” (the nickname for the eastside of Lake Washington). Cities such as Kirkland, Redmond and Bellevue are all working with their communities, businesses and civic representatives to green up the Eastside.
The conversation includes a look at water resources, land planning, transportation, green jobs and education, energy, waste management, and food production and preparation to list a few of the key topics in the arena affecting our collective communities. Lend your voices by attending events, participating in conferences or commenting on blogs.
